FundRaising:
Give Your Fundraising A "Boost"

Does your football team need money for new uniforms, renovations to your home field or an end-of-the season award dinner? You’re not alone. Juggling traditional coaching duties with fundraising responsibilities is a major concern for coaches. Imagine forming an organization that exists primarily to raise money for your squad. They would strategize and implement fundraising programs to pay for necessary expenses not covered in your school’s budget.

Booster clubs are groups composed of parents, alumni, businesses and other supporters of your football team fundraising on your behalf. A well-organized club allows you to focus attention on coaching your team rather than on raising money. Appoint interested parents to executive positions within the club and make them responsible for achieving your fundraising goals. A successful football team is led by a superior coaching staff. Motivated leaders are also necessary for a profitable booster club.

Need help getting started? The National Booster Club Association is a non-profit organization that provides support and guidance to high school and college football teams. For more information call 509-735-2878, or visit www.boosterclubs.org.
