Uniforms can be the face of your program. Some schools stay traditional and almost never change. Others go with a different look every buying cycle, and some coaches change them up to mark a new direction for the program. Your uniform is a link between your players and the team. Jerseys are symbols of pride for most players.

2011 brings a wave of selection and style options for your club. Favorites have been brought back and some new styles have been added, all with the purpose of making that connection between athletes and the team.

The trend in uniforms is lightweight jerseys and pants that allow freedom of movement as well as some form of moisture management. Each brand does this in their own way, but to keep pace in this ever increasing game of speed, uniform manufacturers are doing all they can to keep coaches and players in the race.

Nike Crack Back Jersey

New for 2011, The Nike Crack Back jersey makes a statement in design. The contrast side and shoulder panels really make this jersey pop. The tapered cut and full length work well with the pro mesh body to give athletes a snug fit that is tight to the body while still allowing for breathability and expansion. An elasticized collar and tailored arms create comfort for the athlete while allowing a full range of motion. Two-ply shoulders add durability to the major hitting surface of this jersey. An embroidered Swoosh and Nike Team Sports jock tag will get players jacked up to wear this jersey not only on the field but everywhere they can.
Nike Destroyer Jersey

The Nike Destroyer jersey is a more simplistic jersey with similar construction, but the design is slightly different. The Destroyer uses the similar mesh, dazzle and spandex as the Crack Back, but does not feature the contrast panels. The Destroyer does offer a full elasticized collar and spandex inserts that run almost the entire length of the jersey. This use of spandex creates a less tight fit on the shoulders and could alleviate the need for help to get the jersey off. The Destroyer is a “plain Jane” jersey and will offer similar wear to other Nike football jerseys based on the similar construction. At a lower price than the Crack Back, it’s an excellent option for teams looking to add the Swoosh to their outfits.
 Nike Double Coverage

The Nike Double Coverage jersey features a cap sleeve cut. This styling can be seen on a number of notable professional linebackers and defensive ends. It exposes the arms to a fuller extent making the opportunity to be held by opposing players less likely. Besides the cut of the jersey, the Double Coverage Jersey is constructed of open hole mesh as opposed to the pro mesh of the previous two selections. This open hole mesh works with the tapered fit to offer athletes an even more extreme opportunity for ventilation and breathability. Because of the styling the Double Coverage Jersey can also be combined in an order with the Nike Destroyer Jersey to give your athletes options of on field dress.

This uniform debuted on the Colorado State Rams in 2010 and is available for teams across the country to wear in 2011.

According to Russell Executive VP Gary Barfield, “Our sublimated uniforms bring a unique aspect to our custom line. Now, teams at all levels can create a truly unique look while wearing the high quality fabric that is Russell’s Trademark. Russell Athletic has long focused on the high school market by bringing performance-enhancing products to the field of play and focusing on the needs of our customers, and our new sublimated uniform carries this mission forward.”

Innovative products of the highest quality and performance are critically important to coaches at all levels of the game. Russell understands that and makes sure that it happens, regardless of your level of play.

  Under Armour Texas Tech Jersey

As with most of its ventures, Under Armour has been increasing its reach into the football uniform market. Starting with just a handful of teams in the beginning, Under Armour has a number of big name college and high school programs under its stable, including this year’s national champions.

The Texas Tech jersey has spandex inserts that run from the upper shoulder (front and back) down the entire jersey. These flex areas, combined with the open hole mesh body, create a comfortable fit that will allow your players’ diaphragms to feel unrestricted while providing a tight fit. The road jersey is almost solid white, while the colored home version has contrasting spike insets on the shoulder area. This jersey takes ventilation to the extreme, allowing your players to take the field cool, loose and ready.

Under Armour Stock Battle Jersey

New for 2011 is the Under Armour Stock Battle jersey. This game ready jersey gives athletes a tricot mesh front and mini-porthole mesh back for increased breathability and ventilation while allowing for great customization options. A double layer of dazzle mesh on the shoulder yoke makes the major hitting surface durable. The styling of the Battle jersey is much different than the Texas Tech jersey. Contrast piping runs from the neck around the shoulder pad and extends down to the contrasting skill cut elasticized sleeves. A full extended length creates a snug fit.

Eastbay Ball Hawk Jersey

“Our Eastbay private label products are something our sales reps are pushing heavily,” says Eastbay Team Sales Manager Scott Jordan. “The quality, price and selection definitely give our coaches even more options to weigh when selecting new uniforms.”

The Eastbay Ball Hawk jersey was inspired by our athletes that lay it on the line to perform their very best in a game they love to play. A pro mesh body, similar to the name brand jerseys, creates great breathability while snug fit has stretch side inserts to allow players to breath freely without restriction. The double layered dazzle shoulders provide durability on the major striking surface. Elasticized cuffs and a spandex comfort collar give this game jersey elite styling and comfort, allowing players to focus on the game at hand.

Eastbay Aerial Assault Jersey

Football is one of the few sports where the practice time significantly outweighs actually contest time. So for the hours spent preparing for battle, Eastbay gives you the Aerial Assault jersey. This belt length practice jersey gives players porthole mesh body construction for extreme lightweight breathability and ventilation. The classic V-neck collar is comfortable and ready to get the work done. Great for practice or leagues that allow such jerseys for games.
