QB Travis Jackson 6-4 215 4.5

Has a great arm and can throw on the run; threw for 17 TDs and ran for five more as a junior.

Montgomery Bell (Nashville, Tenn.)

A strong and elusive runner who makes good decisions; last year passed for 1,450 yards and 14 TDs for state champion team.

Cretin-Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minn.)

Could be the top QB recruit in the nation next year; from same high school program that produced Chris Weinke and Steve Walsh.

Southeast (Bradenton, Fla.)

A legend-in-the-making in the Sunshine State; passed for 2,434 yards and 33 TDs last season and is also a blue chip basketball prospect.

St. Francis (La Canada, Calif.)

An extremely poised leader who passed for 2,861 yards and 28 TDs in 1999. His father (John Sr.) was MVP of the 1976 Rose Bowl as a QB for UCLA.

Lee (Midland, Texas)

Last season's player of the year in Texas as just a junior; rushed for 3,526 yards and 44 TDs for the nation's No. 3 team.

Central (Madison, Miss.)

A tough runner between the tackles; rushed for a state-record 2,675 yards and 18 TDs for last year's 5A state champs.

Coach Gary Higgins says Shaw runs "like a bull in a china shop." A power back who rushed for 2,370 yards and 23 scores last year.

A bruising Mike Alstott clone with a great work ethic; squats 510 pounds and averaged 92 yards rushing per game last season.

Has a great combination of speed and power and averaged 9.76 yards per carry last season; checks in at only 7-percent body fat.

A fluid receiver with excellent speed (10.8 100m); had 80 catches for 1,486 yards and 23 TDs last season.

Union (S.C.)

Has tremendous speed and athleticism and the ability to make the circus catch; had 80 receptions for 1,431 yards and 21 TDs as a junior.

Male (Louisville, Ky.)

An awesome combination of speed and pure athleticism who could be the nation's top WR recruit next year. Had 71 receptions for 1,427 yards and 22 TDs in '99.
