A great addition to the Central Michigan University weight room – as well as our football program – has been the Rogers Athletic TredSled™. This versatile apparatus has given us the ability to train our players in a sport-specific fashion, while also providing training opportunities for all athletes. We utilize the TredSled™ for the following:

OL & DL – Pass blocking, drive blocking

TE & LB – Hit and read

RB, WR, DB, QB – Resistance runs, backpedals, shuffles

Rehabbers – Controlled resistance running

The TredSled’s™ ability to monitor the work/rest ratio allows us to train up to eight players at a time on one machine.

We put the TredSled™ in front of a mirror so the players can see themselves run. It is much easier and more productive to work form indoors where they can see and adapt immediately, as opposed to correcting technique while they run away from you.

The best attribute of the TredSled™ is the "competition" provided for the individual athlete against himself as well as against other athletes. The built-in computer immediately provides feedback on Reaction Time, Max Power, Average Power and Distance Traveled. This information is then charted and competition situations can be created.

In summary, the TredSled™ from Rogers Athletic has been a helpful addition to our training complex at Central Michigan University!
