I have two questions.
1- How do you break into coaching if you're not a former player or have any connections?

2- How does one get a job scouting for Pro or College football?

I am looking for variations on the smash route. If anyone has plays they would like to share I would greatly appreciate it. We are a multiple I/pro offense and are looking to pass the ball more.

I am currently trying to find any information on playing the Double Invert in the secondary. Particularly on alignments and adjustments to twins, trips, etc. Any information would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated.

I am working on my 2001 football schedule. We have always played the best
teams in the state. My philosophy is play the best and it will pay its benefits.
Sometimes we come out of non league 2-2, 1-3 but, I fill we played good ball but it
is still not a WIN. We do well in our league but the record hurts our seeding in the
state playoffs. Do you think we should back off and schedule weaker team's and
shoot for that good record or play that tuff schedule?

We are currently discussing implementing football for the first time at our high school in NYS--Fallsburg Central Schools in Section IX. . The BOE is hesitant, becuase of costs and hurting exisiting fall sports. I am looking for any ideas or letters to the BOE expressing the importance and significance football can have on a young man's life and how football can improve the overall environment of the school.

I'm interested in finding out what college coaches are looking for in graduate assistants. I have coached at the HS level for 5 years, and work for our school system coordinating recreation and other special programs. I am considering going back to school to get my teaching certification, and am wondering if I could do it by being a GA.

I'd appreciate any information that anyone could give.

thanks

I am looking to break into coaching high school as a career in NC. Can anyone out there give me some info or some help?

I have been coaching youth football for the past 3 years and have decided coaching is the thing I want to do with my future. I have a B.S. and I am working on my Texas teaching certificate for secondary social studies. I will also continue in the youth league for at least 3 more years. Unfortunately, I have no playing experience to draw from. I know I would have to start in middle school/jr. high, if I can get hired, for a career coaching. Is it reasonable to think I can make a start in this profession and move up with the experience I will have? Especially considering I will be 35 by the time I get my certificate and start a job search.

I would like some advice on writing a resume for a head high school football coach. What to include, should I emphasize playing experience, or coaching experience. What should I do if I don't have a lot of experience in years? Any advice would be helpful.

Am considering installing the Hugh Wyatt double wing offense. Also have read up on Markham's Toss offense. I have Wyatt's tape and have ordered his books. I have also spent some time with a number of local coaches in MN who run the offense. I have been an option coach for years and am wondering if it's worthwhile, or a waste of time, to incorporate some type of option in this offense?
