I am the OC for one of our youth football teams. The Board of Directors determined at the beginning of this past season that all levels in our program from jr.pee-wee(7-9) to the midget level (14-15) had to run the same offensive system. This is a good idea,in my opinion, so the kids can progress with the same terminolgy, technique, etc. as they get older. Here is my frustration, we are running the Wing-T, which I have found to be a great midirection offense,if you have the right players. We do not have these type of athletes. How can I modify this offense to help fit my players' ability. Anyone have some good ideas?

I have been a coach for 6 years working through the UK coaching programme while starting as a QB coach and moving through OC up to about to start my second season as a HC.

I have two more years of my degree and I do not know the best way forward on this matter. If anyone can give me any advice or could offer me any summer work then this may increase my knowledge and improve my chances of one day being a full time coach.

Thank you for your time

I am not a coach - but I am a mother of a 16 year who will be ientering his Senior year with a 4.0 gpa. I am in need of your help. I reside in the State of MD. My son was diagnosed with ADHD /ADD years ago and has been quite successful in school. Unfortunately
the school he attends doesn't have a football team. He has played for the last 3 years at a local high school as the county allows if the school he attends does not have a team. Just recently we moved to a new location - I was informed by several people that there is a clause in the State of MD that states that even if a child moves out of the jurisdiction and is entering his Senior year that he is able to play at the high school in which he use to be a team member.

I am trying to find this clause. If you should have any idea of who to contact and where to go, please email me. My son's last year in high school should be a memorable one, especially with a gpa of 4.0 that he earned.

Will you help us? If so, please send an email to geners@holycrosshealth.org.

I remeber playing a tog-og-war game at a football camp. The goal of this game was to teach linemen to stay low when blocking. the "rope" was two harnesses facing away from each other connected by a strap about 10 feet long. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, could you please tell me where I can find one.

Has anyone done research on removable cleats vs. molded cleats for traction of the field? Their are a few coaches in my area that insist that removable cleats give better traction then molded on grass and or turf. He also, insisted that none or a small percentage of college and pros use the molded cleats.

What do you think?

We are using a 4-1-6 5-underman, two safeties or 4-2-5 cover-3 or just man-free. As a change we will go 3-2-6 and use the same coverages. We will blitz people off the edges, backers and safeties. I have a remarkable knowledge of the game and my lifelong dream has always been to coach. It is not everyday that you find coaches passionate about the game, but I consider myself that candidate. I am versatile in terms of coaching (basketball, football, baseball). I worked as an assistant basketball coach for my high School Team after completing my coursework in college. I played baseball on the collegiate level and served as Team Captain for 2 years. I also served as an Equipment Manager for the Tuskegee University Football Team. I am the Defensive Coordinator at Putnam City North High School. I am looking for information on the 3-5-3 or as some call the 3-4-4 defense. We run multiple fronts from the 4-3 and can change to a 5-2,6-1,4-2 without sub's. Interested in sharing Please e-mail me with info and I will do the same.

Thanks, Scott Burger

I am looking for information regarding employment as a coach at any level. I graduated in 1994 with a B.S. in Management. I also played football for 10 years (Pop Warner, H.S. and College) until I was sidelined due to injuries. Recently, I served as an Assistant Vice President (Finance) with an insurance company in New York City.

I feel that I am a strong candidate to coach Defensive Backs or in the area of Strength and Conditioning. I would also be interested in a front office or managerial position. However, I am willing to take any position which would get my foot in the door.

If you have any information or would like to contact me, please e-mail me @ Nikobiko@comcast.net My resume is available upon request.

Regards,

Mark Heid
