How about I take the HC job and you take the JV job? You probably got the job only because you were a teacher and not a qualified football coach.

Attention High School Coaches:

I'm currently a kicking and punting coach at a division II university on the coast of North Carolina. We are currently looking for a kicker/punter who is coachable and has a strong leg. It is not necessary that this player has tons of experience or success. I can work with him on that. I'm looking for someone who could start school this fall. If you know a kicker/punter with a live leg and a desire to improve please let me know. Our head coach agrees that this position is vital to our success and we have scholarship opportunities available.

Thanks for you time,
Coach Mihalyov

www.teamusaamericanfootball.com Please help support American Football overseas. TUSAAF needs to get as many people who love the game to register so we can help our own athletes help the game overseas, without placing the costs on the athletes, coaches, and staff. The webpage will become a very good resource for whats going on overseas from an American perspective, by American coaches who live in Germany.

At a clinic one time I saw a coach who determined this by using a points system. I was wondering if anyone out there used this type of system, how they did it, and how it has worked. Hello,
I am currently coaching a regional Level American football team in Germany. One of my player is moving to the United States do to his job. He is a German national and is very interested in continuing with his training. He is going to be located in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area. He has played in Germany for many years and is currently 27 years old, he is looking at perhaps a junior college or high school that could help him continue to grow as a football player. He is fluent in English so there is no translation issue. Please feel free to contact me and I will pass your information to him. This not only helps him but also American football in Germany as well. I know that he will take every bit of knowledge that you give him and bring it back to help the game.

Line 2/12/05 at 9:38 PM by Ryan Andersen (baraboo100@hotmail.com)
My name is Ryan Andersen. I'm a 23 year old American who has been coaching in Europe for the past 4 seasons and am looking to make a move in my career. Please don't let my young age fool you. Though I may lack experience I make up for it with a solid knowledge of the game and an enthusiasm thats hard to match. I have coached at one of the highest levels in Europe (the Austrian Football League) and have been involved with football at its grassroots level.

I would love to be involved with developing the next generation of american football players the most. Coaching younger players is probably the funnest part of my job. I love taking a young rookie how has the raw talent and turning him into the best player he can be. If you gave me an opportunity to work with your youth I’m sure you would agree that I am definitely the right person for the job. I develop a close player/coach bond with my players and I turn them into hard working kids who know how to have fun on the field.

Second I am a offensive minded coach with good knowledge of all the skill positions. Like I said before I work well with young players so I can turn young project players into contributors for your offense. Offensively my philosophy is simple, build a system that fits the players not the other way around. Too many coaches see plays on tv and think their players can do the same thing... its not that simple. I have experience coaching in several different offenses, such as a multi set pro offense and the wing t. I have taken a particular interest in the spread offense, particularly the Wildcat offense used by teams such as Northwestern, Bowling Green, and Utah. Though I am interested in this offense, I would build an offense that would give our team the best chance to win. If you have any questions about my philosophies that are more specific please feel free to ask.

And finally I have a great passion for coaching special teams. Special teams is the most overlooked aspect of football, and I believe a well coached special teams is the difference between an average team and a champion. I love working with kickers and punters to improve their skills and help them help the team win games. Its really rewarding to take the “fringe” players who may not have a fit in the offense or defense and give them a place where they can fill a role in helping the team win.

I have been reading about Georga Military's 3-5 defense. They say that they never have a down lineman "take on a base block". What do they mean by that? Do they shot a gap each time, or are they saying that they try to go to a locked out position? I understand the penetrate and flatten technique, but if they have gap responsibility how do you avoid the base block? Does anyone know how they play these three down line man?

I am a high school coach. I work primarily with linemen. In a discussion about blocking technique, another coach suggested that hip explosion isn't a skill that is necessary in modern zone blocking techniques. I'm curious about other coaches response to this. I appreciate any information people may want to pass along.

Hello.
I am a junior high coach of a nine-man football team in norhern Minnesota, at Bigfork High School. I have a dynamic quarterback who ran for over 500 yeards and threw for around 500, in our six-game schedule. We went 5-0-1.
The varsity coaches at Bigfork High (we have a small school, so grades 7-12 are all in the same building) have given me enormous freedom, to lead the team as I wish. So I'd like any and all information on the Spread-style offense, to best utilize our quarterback, like Utah used to great success under Urban Meyer.
Thanks in Advance

Team USA American Football group is being formed to represent American Football at the Senior and Junior level. The Team USA American Football Team's main goals will be to represent amateur American Football at its best to the European American Football communities. Team USA American Football Group has no ties with Team USA Football, which i once coached for in the Past. This team will be fully funded and will not rely on players or coaches to pay for all costs for games that are played in Europe. We have gathered very good support here in Europe and the United States, and will be playing games in Europe in 2005 and on. Coaching positions are still open for a QB coach and a Oline Coach, if interested please contact me asap with your coaching resume. Coaches interested will need to have an American Passport, and international drivers liscense. Players and coaches coming from the states will only have to bring their love for the game and the will to represent the USA for our American Fans overseas. Our military has our full support and the team will be doing various charity visits all over Germany to visit troops and spread the good will of American Football. Our website is being constructed now and will be up and running by February.

I am attempting to implement a 3-5 defense. I like the concept the allows us to need only 3 lineman, since we seldom have more than 3-4 kids who can play those positions at the varsity level. We ran it this year and had some limited success.
I was never able to get consistent play from the two outside line backers. I think much of it was that I was not teaching it well. Does anyone have any experience to share. We converted from a 5-2/ 5-3 defense and I think my tecniques for the ends in those defenses were part of the problem.
