Among all the legends of high school coaching, Bill McGregor probably knows more about college recruiting than any coach in America. As head coach of perennial power DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland, Coach McGregor has compiled a record of 279-40-3 with 18 championships in 29 years and has seen over 300 of his players advance to play at the college level. The 2004 NFL High School Coach of the Year, McGregor is considered a master at helping his athletes who want to play college football find opportunities to match their skills, whether it’s FBS, FCS or other levels of play.
But McGregor realizes that most high school coaches don’t necessarily have the experience needed to make connections between players and college coaches or recruiters. “With the hundreds of colleges that have football programs, it can be very difficult for high school coaches to be aware of all of the playing opportunities that exist and advise players about how to get recruited,” McGregor said.

That’s why he’s a strong supporter of AFM’s new online service, AFMFootballRecruits.com, which is designed to help players get noticed by college coaches and recruiters and also assist coaches who want to give their players an affordable, effective way to reach out to college programs. “I’ve seen a lot of recruiting services,” said McGregor, “and the one that AFM has developed has great features that no one else does.”

AFMFootballRecruits.com’s mission is to provide results for recruits by connecting athletes, parents and high school coaches with college coaches and recruiters coast-to-coast. The service, which features athlete profiles that include football accomplishments, academic records and video highlights, acts as an extension of a high school coaching staff to assist in the recruiting process. In short, it gives more high school players a chance to play at a collegiate level that best suits their ability and potential.

But what makes AFMFootballRecruits.com such a unique and powerful tool for athletes is their database of every college football program in the country – including contact information for coaches and recruiters. With this information, which is built directly into the service, athletes can contact coaches and recruiters via email to express an interest in possibly playing for their team. Coaches can then directly access the player’s profile and respond to them if they’re interested. “Instead of just posting their profiles on a web site and hoping that a college coach sees it, athletes can take a much more active role in the process by reaching out to colleges,” according to McGregor.

Every player who signs up for a profile gets full access to the AFMFootballRecruits.com database of over 800 colleges and universities, which is perhaps the most unique tool ever developed for the high school football recruit. Each college profile not only includes the coach and recruiter contacts but other useful information such as conference, selectivity, location and even a map.

Once a player decides he wants to contact a college, he can write his own email or use one of the pre-written emails that are part of the AFMFootballRecruits.com service. It’s all designed to make the process of getting noticed by colleges simple, fast and more effective than ever before. In addition to being able to respond directly to recruits that they’re interested in, college coaches and recruiters can search the database of players at no cost to identify recruits that might meet their specific needs.

The base cost for a player profile is $199.00. But AFMFootballRecruits.com has gone a step further to make the service appealing and cost-effective to high school coaches and teams. If a coach has several players that want to play collegiate ball, he can take advantage of the “Team Profile” opportunity. For $499.00, up to seven individual players from a team can receive their own profiles, complete with video uploads and access to the college database. The team itself and the head coach also receive profiles as part of the package. If the cost is shared by the players, it will drastically reduce the cost to each individual.

Plus, with a team profile, a high school coach will simply be able to direct a college coach to his team’s profile page so he can review all potential recruits from that school at one place and one time.

Can AFMFootballRecruits.com guarantee a coach that every student athlete who uses its service will get a scholarship offer? No, but they can assure you, your athletes and their parents that AFMFootballRecruits.com will be using the most sophisticated recruiting tools available today to increase your players chances of being noticed by recruiters and landing a spot on a collegiate roster.
