Dave Rupe is now in his second year as head coach of New Lexington High School in Ohio. He has helped put together four different community service programs that have become a staple of the New Lexington program. They include:

Memorial Day Flag Ceremony - working with the local chapter of the American Legion, Rupe’s players and coaches meet at the local cemetery on the Saturday morning of Memorial Day weekend. The players then place flags on the gravestone’s of the town’s fallen military veterans. “The ceremony takes about an hour and a half,” said Rupe. “It’s a great experience for our players. It lets our kids better understand what our country has been through.”
